NHD Communication in History: the Key to Understanding at the National Portrait Gallery

<p></p> <p>This Learning Lab collection has been created to support the 2021 National History Day theme, Communication in History: the Key to Understanding. Utilizing portraits and other resources from the National Portrait Gallery, this collection highlights individuals who have contributed to the history, development, and culture of the United States not only by changing the methods and tools we use to communicate but by using politics, art, music, protests, and more to communicate values and ideas that have had a significant impact on the country.
