I am an English teacher at Pembroke High School, Massachusetts. I have been teaching for twenty years and have taught all grade levels from 7-12, including inclusion classes as well as honors level classes. During the upcoming school year, I will be teaching American Literature (juniors) and several Senior Seminars including Medieval Literature; Adventure and Survival Literature; and Suspense, Mystery, and Horror Literature.

<p><em><strong></strong></em>Thoreau inspired posters were created in the late 1970s by graphic designer Ken White, to hang in the IBM headquarters. Taking into consideration what you read about Thoreau's background, and what he wrote in "Civil Disobedience," complete the two paragraph written response described in the attached Google Doc.</p>
