Kim Frazier teaches English 11 and Advanced Placement Language and Composition at Army and Navy Academy, a military boarding school for boys located in Carlsbad, California. She is a Cal State San Marcos Writing Project Teacher-Leader and a member of the National Writing Project’s College-Ready Writers Program. She enjoys sharing with fellow teachers strategies that develop academic writing skills and critical thinking. She has presented at conferences sponsored by the California Association of Teachers of English, San Diego Computer Using Educators, and San Diego County Independent and Private School Network. Topics she has presented on include Integrating Technology to Enhance Student Learning, Writing from Primary Sources, Making Thinking Visible, and Using Visual-Spatial Strategies to Teach Close-Reading Skills. She participated in the Gurian Institute’s Learning Through a Gender Lens in 2016 and currently attends the SAAM's Teaching the Humanities Through the Arts summer institute.
