"Appendix ..." [v. 2] contains vocabularies in the English, Danish and Eskimaux languages and descriptions of the Greenlanders and Inuits encountered by Ross's expedition, as well as reports on scientific observations relating to meteorology, the magnetic pole, and the health of the crew during the trip, etc. The natural history section includes several reports: the report on zoology (mmamals, birds and fish) was written by James C. Ross; the report on salmones by J. Richardson; the report on insects by J. Curtis; the report on marine invertebrate animals by James C. Ross with the assistance of R. Owen; and the report on geology by Sir John Ross.
