SCDIRB copy of volume 2 is imperfect: the folded dress pattern which had been inserted between pages 136 and 137 has been removed. The folded dress pattern for volume 1, which had been inserted after page 80, has been torn out and is laid in.

SCDIRB copy has contemporary gilt-tooled red half-leather bindings with red embossed cloth-covered boards, raised bands, and red sprinkled edges.
