Mantlepiece and dado for room in the Villa Digne

Horizontal rectangle. The lower part is a variation of the scheme of -1522. The supports consist of fluted consoles upon which two children are seated besdie a flower pot in front of a shell at right. Half of a similar motif is uon the support at left. A landscape with a Doric temple in ruins and pyramids are shown. The upper part suggests an ovoidal painting in rich framing. At right is an imaginary arch double the width of that at left.

Horizontal rectangle. A variation of the scheme of -1534. The arch is decorated with one half of a plant. A mean is seated below, holding a compass. The panel in the center shows a trophy. The painting represents a scene of Roman history in a setting of ruins.

Horizontal rectangle. A variation of the scheme of -1532 and of -1551, representing a coffered vault. Women are seated beside urns below. A mask between figures is shown on top of teh pointed arch. In the center is a view at an entablature and a balustrade.

Horizontal rectangle. The scheme is that of horizontal bands below an ovoidal vault, with an ovoidal pole in the center between arches above. Somewhat more than one quarter is shown. A putto is shown in the wedge left from teh pointed arch and the ruined painting. In the center is a deepened spherical quadrangle with a seated figure. The band is decorated with an octagonal representation between plant palmettes. Pairs of figures, seated upon the base of the cetnral vault, are suggested for the centers of the long sides, facing the corners of the room.
