The UCAR Center for Science Education (UCAR SciEd) serves the geoscience community by amplifying and complementing the work of the National Science Foundation’s National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) member universities by reaching our audiences: K-12 educators, university faculty, students, and the public through excellence in educational programs and experiences.

Climate Solutions

<p dir="ltr">This Learning Lab collection was created by William Mead, a student in the summer 2022 Smithsonian Digital Learning and Engagement Internship, in collaboration with Emerson Collective and the UCAR Center for Science Education/National Center for Atmospheric Research, a Smithsonian Affiliate based in Boulder, Colorado. This is a collection of stories about climate solutions created by visitors at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab, as well as related information and resources about climate change. #SAintern</p>

Innovative Technology to Address Climate Change

<p>This Learning Lab collection was created by Brandon Vega, an intern in the summer 2022 Smithsonian Digital Learning and Engagement Internship, in collaboration with Emerson Collective and the UCAR Center for Science Education/National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), a Smithsonian Affiliate based in Boulder, CO. Visitors to the NCAR Mesa Lab Visitor Center in Boulder, CO were asked what they would invent to help solve the issues of climate change. How has Climate Change Impacted your Life?

Visitors of the Climate Stories Exhibit at the NCAR Mesa Lab Visitor Center were given a prompt to answer how climate change has impacted their lives.
