      My name is Monique Wertz.  I have 10 years of instructional experience at the elementary level and currently teach at the Hopewell Area School District outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Presently, I teach third grade to a group of star students.

      I earned my bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh. In May 2013, I received my master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Elementary Education.

      My husband and I have two beautiful, adult children. 

      I truly believe that education is the cornerstone of our society and I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for my students.

      Three Branches of U.S. Government

      <p>This collection was designed to be used in a third grade classroom to supplement the teaching of the three branches of U.S. government.  The collection would be utilized over the course of a week-long unit.</p><p>Objective: Students will be able to identify and explain the purpose of the three branches of the U.S. government.</p> <p>#PZPGH</p>
