      Social Studies :

      I teach 9th and 10th grade students history at Science Leadership Academy, an inquiry-driven public high school in Philadelphia that emphasizes project-based learning. I find that current events, visual literacy, field trips, simulations are integral to helping students develop the historical thinking skills that are useful far beyond our classroom walls.

      <p>What does your hair reveal about your identity? This guided lesson and image gallery invites students to explore their  identity and  to interrogate the role that hair plays in the presentation of self.
