Synthesis (APLang/APUSH) Dinner Table Party around "Fighters for Freedom" by William H. Johnson

This is a larger synthesis project requiring students to choose only 7 paintings from the Collection that they feel all students must study, if they have a consolidated time period in which to be exposed to the Fighters for Freedom with whom Johnson was familiar. The students must make sure the 7 works, collaboratively, provide a cross-section of different genders, geographical locations, political and social influencers, and time periods. They will then answer the general question: Based on these "Fighters for Freedom", how should we or can we define justice?. They will use the Dinner Table format to organize the 7 "guests" they are inviting to the Synthesis Dinner Party and then compose a synthesis essay.
