After teaching a variety of ages in several middle schools and high schools throughout the DFW area, I have settled into teaching 8th grade humanities at St. Mark's School of Texas. I enjoy the bridge that art creates for the humanities curriculum and look forward to seeing how students and teachers across the nation employ this resource to engage in the process of making meaningful connections.

Photojournalism: A Study of Perspective

This collection contains a series of photos from Camilo Jose Vergara. The students will be asked to rate a series of photos for their chronology and how those photos can be interpreted by the viewer. In the end, students will be asked to document an important part of their family history through photo journalism and then write about their choices and the importance of their selected art. #SAAMteach
