
Greta Schorn
Greta Schorn is currently the Studio Art Teacher at Amidon Bowen ES. Ms. Schorn, was raised in a military household and was born in Yokosuka, Japan when the family was stationed there. She has been a world traveler since birth. She graduated high school from St. Stephen's School in Rome, Italy and began her college education at the University of Maryland in Mannheim, Germany, graduating with an associate's degree. Ms. Schorn completed her Art History, Art Studio and Art Education Degree at University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg VA. She began teaching at Scott Montgomery ES in Washington DC as a K-5th grade studio art teacher and a preschool Reggio Emilia Atelierista. She was trained by one of top Reggio Emilia Aterlierista Coaches in the Washington DC Area for 5 years. She attended Reggio Emilia professional developments in New York City, Portland, Oregon, along with a one month long training in the Reggio Emilia School in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Ms. Schorn is currently in her fourth year of teaching at Amidon Bowen ES. Ms. Schorn’s goal is to create an academically and culturally enriched art environment that will spark her Amidon Bowen ES students' curiosity and creativity and will instill an explorative way of learning.
