Jo Ann Robinson and the Montgomery Bus Boycotts

Jo Ann Robinson played an instrumental role in the Montgomery Bus Boycotts, working along other influential figures such as Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., Fred Gray, and E. D. Nixon. However, despite her accomplishments and connections, her civil rights activism is rarely recognized. This collection serves to shed light on her story and the part she played in desegregating the buses of Montgomery and influencing the civil rights movement.

History of Bebop

This Collection details the history of Bebop in Jazz and the musicians which developed and defined the style. Bebop was a style of Jazz characterized by fast tempos, instrumental variety, experimentation of harmonic structure, and improvisation with complex chord progressions and rapid chord changes. The style was especially prominent during the 1940s which was appropriately named the Bebop era. I hope to thoroughly summarize the rise, influence, and significance of Bebop as a form of Music and the distinctive qualities it held as a form of Jazz. I hope you enjoy this Collection.
