I want to develop a sense of community by sharing the stories of Latina/o/x college students. My hope with this podcast is to remind us that we are not alone. <p>Welcome to the Black Women Artists of the American South Learning Lab collection, which features four different artists who had a significant influence in the American South art world. In this Learning Lab, you will learn about the personal lives of four Black women artists: Beverly Buchanan, Margaret Ramsey, Mary Louise Proctor, and Minnie Evans. You will examine their artwork by analyzing the different elements and making personal connections.</p> <p>This Learning Lab collection was created by Sarah Nunez in the summer 2021 <a href="https://affiliations.si.edu" target="_blank">Smithsonian Affiliate</a> Digital Learning and Engagement Internship, in partnership with <a href="https://www.emersoncollective.com/about-us/" target="_blank">Emerson Collective</a> and <a href="https://www.themorris.org/about/" target="_blank">Morris Museum of Art</a><em>,</em> a Smithsonian Affiliate. The Morris Museum of Art (MMA) is located in Augusta, Georgia. MMA was founded in 1985 by William S. Morris III.
