For generations American women have been trailblazers, forging the path for future rising stars to shine. Smithsonian’s American Women’s History Initiative works to research, disseminate, and amplify these histories for the benefit of all.
This collaboration with the USA TODAY stitches together the stories of pioneering innovators and their life-changing innovations from across Smithsonian collections. From leading lights to amplifiers, divergent minds to futuristic thinkers. Stories, objects, puzzles, and activities are presented in the 12-page guide.
