Thomas Jefferson's Architecture consisted mostly of octagonal shapes, columns, and brick. The octagonal shapes had a tendency to be where the entrance is or the roof. In almost all of his buildings he put columns in. Finally Jefferson used brick. All three of these characteristics can be seen in Poplar Forest.
