Connecting During COVID

This collection encourages young children to mail letters and artwork to close family and friends whom they may not be able to see in person due to pandemic health concerns. Although it's typically easy for most people to connect through email and other types of technology, the personal care and thought that goes into letter-writing, as well as the literacy, communication, and creativity skills it develops, make it a worthwhile and rewarding activity for both the child and the recipient.

Movement

This collection uses Eric Carle's book From Head to Toe to explore how animals and people move. To talk about the book with your child, first read From Head to Toe together (or watch the video in the first box). Next, let your child look at the other animals on the webpage and decide what he/she wants to explore. Encourage conversation and exploration!
