Where I work and what I do: For the past nearly ten years, I’ve been teaching from New Zealand to Cuba, to Chicago. Right now I am grateful to be a high school teacher in Chicago Public Schools.

Professional interests: Progressive models of education, responsive instruction, social justice, interdisciplinary teaching.

More about me: I love exploring new cities and reading (just finished “Round House” and “Woman at Point Zero”). I graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in American Studies and Educational Theory and received an M.Ed from Loyola University Chicago. Before I taught at Northtown, I taught at a non-profit called GirlForward working to empower refugee girls, assisted teachers in Cuba through USAID, and ran an after-school program in New Zealand.
