Power and Portraiture

<p>Power and Portraiture highlights the ways in which artists and sitters use portraiture as a means to convey power. By analyzing portraiture, students will consider how power is visualized, gained, used, justified, and revoked. And yet we are still drawn to the idea of small communities and the face-to-face interactions they promote. <p>Students will analyze portraiture as it relates to global citizenship.
