Hi everyone! My name is Monica Ziemski and I've been teaching for 3 and 1/2 years. I attended Duquesne University for my undergrad (Elementary Education K-6) and for my master's degree (Special Education Pre-K-8) as well. I started my teaching journey in 2012 in a kindergarten classroom in the South Park School District. I always wanted to teach 5th or 6th so I continued in my journey. I finally landed in the West Jefferson Hills School District teaching 6th grade social studies. I love it so much!

What Are Those?
Learn about life in early Chinese urban society by analyzing oracle bone divinations, the earliest form of writing in China. Students discuss with their groups what they think these pictures are showing then they compare early Chinese urban society to other Bronze Age societies in this student activity.
