<p>For us as Americans, it is important that we remember the events of the <em>Civil Rights Movement </em><em></em> to remind ourselves of the horrific things that the peoples of African, and even Mexican American descent went through during this time period. The Nuclear Arms Race and its Contribution to the Cold War

<p>The Nuclear Arms Race became on of the primary factors surmounting throughout the entire Cold War. When the United States invented and detonated the Atomic Bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Stalin then immediately ordered his scientists to create him a bomb with as much power or even more than that of the United States. Stalin then gave his famous Bolshoi speech, openly declaring that the secrecy of the United States towards Russia was the direct cause of the Cold War and the beginning of the Nuclear Arms Race began.</p>

Wounded Knee - Nicholai Balkovec

<p>A soldier was disarming natives but one of them resisted and the weapon ended up firing. The rest of the U.S. soldiers then opened fire, killing 150 Indians, half of which were women and children. The U.S. lost only 25 cavalry men. This incident occurred near the Wounded Knee Creek in South Dakota in the year of 1890 on December 28th.</p><p>MLA Citation - History.com Staff.
