I'm the national coordinator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Bay-Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program, a regional environmental education grant program that promotes locally relevant experiential learning focused on K–12 audiences. I studied biology as an undergraduate at New College of Florida before discovering a love of marine education while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Samoa. I later obtained a master's degree in marine resource management with an emphasis on education and free-choice learning from Oregon State University. I began working with the B-WET program at the NOAA Office of Education in 2008, and am proud to have lived, worked, and explored many of the areas of the country that B-WET serves!
